TrumpyNor Posted November 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) Does anyone have photos of an inside sideway cabin from deck 5 on the Norwegian Jade or any of her sister ships (Pearl, Gem, Jewel)? Nukeworker Posted November 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2018 I was unable to find photos but I was in cabin 5581 on the Jade recently. Basically the entrance is in the first third(ish) of the cabin. To the left or right will be the bed (depending on whether port or starboard) and it can be configured twin (more room) or queen. The bathroom is on the outside wall of the cabin with the TV cabinet on the inside wall. The desk and a cabinet with 2 large cubbies, 2 small cubbies and 3 drawers is next to the desk. The closet is huge and is on the wall opposite the bed. In the closet is lots of hanging space and 4 large cubbies, including the safe. There seemed to be more than enough storage space. I would guess the cabin was close to 150 square feet.

I actually tried to do a search myself here on CC before I posted my question, but ended up only with results from sideways cabins on other cruise lines... Plus that your link to the photos made me very pleased to see the layout of that type of cabin on the Jewel class ships - personally I find it to be a much nicer layout on these sideways inside cabins instead of a regular inside cabin on the Jade that I had last year. Only have to be careful not to be "indesent" near the bed if my DH opens the cabin door to the hallway... 😄

I haven't occupied one of these, but I saw one recently on the Gem and I agree with you.
PaulMark2023 Posted July 20, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) Does anyone have any experience with cabins 5521 or 5021 (Norwegian Jade, Pearl, Gem, Jewel)? I understand they're similar to 5081, but I'm concerned about potential noise from the casino and theater. Any insights would be greatly appreciated, particularly from #TrumpyNor. Thank you! bluesea777 Posted July 20, 2023 #9 Share Posted July 20, 2023 If it were us, we’d take 5581 over the other 3 (5521, 5021, 5081) because it’s by mid-ship elevators. 5081 is below the public bathrooms that are used a lot.
