insert image from google photos

in Firefox open the image in google photos; right click, copy image; paste into message; the "share" links don't work they aren't image files

You're not really inserting the Google image though. You're pasting the image source and the Invision CIC is saving it as a PNG file.  The last image in your post is saved as:

None of the google photos I tested ended in a extension for a  image file (.png, .jpg, .bmp, .gif etc), they were all a  location on google so "insert image" expects a file that is an image.

 

My test was a simple a work around which invision shrinks to a png.

 

If users want to link files that are images and have them show up in a post they need to be image files.

 

If you search "google photo forum link" there are lots of work arounds and 2 or 3 step methods to make it work. None of them include sharing a the"link" from google photos.
