martini_guy Posted November 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2018 1st choice would be in one of the bars, I'm guessing only the casino bar would have this. 2nd choice would be if I can at least check on the games once in awhile inside my cabin. Does anyone know?
Davey Wavey Posted November 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2018 You can reasonably expect that the the TVs at the casino bar and in the casino itself will be showing the games from a single channel. I have never seen multiple channels except in the sports bar for those ships that have them. You can also expect that NO games will be showing on your cabin TV. There are no network channels and no ESPN on them anymore, so you will be limited to the casino or getting the fastest internet package and using a sports app like CBSSPORTS or ESPNgo to stream games. Rare Jamman54 Posted November 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2018 There is also a bar at the rear of the Lido Paris Restaurant that also has TV's and shows sports.
figdu Posted November 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2018 We have also watched games in the Rotterdam Bar deck 9 Aft.
stephamiller Posted December 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Along with all that were mentioned, there are also a few TVs outside by the pool area that were playing one of the NFL games. Our favorite was the bar section at the back of the Lido since you could see multiple games at the same time. The Rotterdam Bar had each game in a separate section so you had to pick a single game to watch. I can't imagine trying to sit by any of the casino bars due to the smoking. Would've liked to have the games on the TV in our room but that is not available. As for checking the scores in your cabin, you could purchase an internet plan for the day of the games so you can check the scores on your phone. The basic plan should work to view score updates but not to stream anything (think it was $12 for a 24 hour period).
latitude918 Posted December 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2018 I haven't been on the Paradise in a very long time, and cannot remember if it has a sports bar. Regardless, in my experience the TV channels are preset, and cannot be changed upon request. If your team, or the bowl you want to watch, aren't on the TV you're kinda SOL. martini_guy Posted December 1, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted December 1, 2018 The Paradise did get an overhaul in dry dock this year though. I do know that on the newer ships that they can 100% change the channels.

Paradise doesn’t have a sports bar. I have never had a problem asking a bartender in the sports bar to put on a certain game on one TV, as long as no one else was watching what was currently on. Of course this Fall the choice of available football games was significantly reduced with Carnival no longer carrying the major networks. ESPN broadcasts a lot of bowl games, which should be available on Carnival ships.
Splitt44 Posted December 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2018 Just got off cruise a week ago and you'll be able to watch games that are on espn & espnU, I think. No abc or cbs broadcast games, so it is luck of what network has picked up your team. There were a lot of disappointed OSU fans on my cruise when they couldnt watch the OSU/MICH game that was on abc. That told me I'd miss the PSU game i wanted to watch later since it was also on abc. I just followed along on twitter feed of game.
