magpie9 Posted December 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2018 I was reading some reviews for ovation of the seas and many membersbwere very cross they had to supply 2 x A4 passport copies and were notbadvised to havebthem ready. They would not let anyone check in. So passengers had to go upstairs to use one copier, with another long queue. Has anyone had to do this in Australia on embarkation day? The_Big_M Posted December 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2018 Yes, that's required for the Asian destinations due to immigration processing procedures there. That said, RCL do email out those requirements, but some TAs may not be passing the information on where a passenger uses them. Haven't had to do it here in Australia. Rare MicCanberra Posted December 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2018 We do it as a matter of practice now as we have had to do it for a few cruises (outside of Australia).
megsie Posted December 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2018 I remember on one Radiance Top End Cruise, everyone had to have their passports photocopied. No previous notice given and we always carry a couple of photocopies of ours but didn’t matter. The line snaked around the boarding deck in the drizzling rain, waiting over an hour just to get passports photocopied and handed in. Only happened once in our 5 Top End cruises. Probably because of a lot of complaints! Usually it was done at sea before Darwin.
