Tao Diva Posted December 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2018 Does anyone have any recent experience booking a Celebrity cruise with Celebrity gift cards or applying Celebrity Gift Cards to subsequent payments? I was thinking about asking for Celebrity gift cards for my birthday but some of the older posts discussing them describe some problematic scenarios. Anyone have more recent experience using Celebrity gift cards? Thanks
Laurab23 Posted December 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2018 I did not know they even had Celebrity gift cards. On the website? Laura
Rare Jim_Iain Posted December 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2018 I haven't used recently but received one and found it a royal pain to use. I have pasted the terms below - can only be used to book a NEW cruise and can only be redeemed by Celebrity. Regardless of amount you can only apply up to $500 per person per sailing. Your ecard is valid only for Celebrity Cruise sailings and can be used for new bookings and booked at least 10 business days prior to the sail date. Cards may not be redeemed at or by any travel agency. The value of the card is applied toward the cost of the Cruise. When booking, you may use/redeem up to $500 in gift cards per person/per sailing, $1,000 total per stateroom to pay for your cruise. If you already have a cruise or 2 booked you would be better off to ask for an On-Board Credit which can be purchased from Gift's By Celebrity. In this case they can be used regardless if booked via Celebrity or a Travel agent and are fully refundable as a Refundable OBC. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-gifts/items-results?category=ONBDCR&collection=ONBDCR
