Silver Spirit Holiday Cruise

Currently on the Spirit. This is our second day and we have had two medical emergencies. We had to return to Fort Lauderdale after we departed yesterday today we could not tender at our first port due to weather,so had a sea day.The second medical emergency has now diverted us to Nassau.  We are due for a sea day tomorrow then the Turks and Caicos.  The joke around the ship is if this keeps up we will spend 14 days circuling at sea.   The ship is lovely ,wonderful decor, very good food and service in public areas.

That’s a little unfortunate, hope things improve.

Not a great way to start a holiday cruise -- esp. for the medically removed folk.  I gather the winds in south Florida (and presumably elsewhere in the region) have been ferocious.

 

Hope you will continue posting.  It's fun to cruise (if only vicariously).  

 

BTW:  Who is the Captain, CD, and HD on Spirit now?
