Steakhouse - Watch your bill

We were on the Liberty 12/20-12/23 for a quick birthday cruise. We booked the steakhouse many months before the increase from $35-$38 and was informed that if we booked before the increase the old price of $35 would be honored. The confirmation that was in the mailbox of our cabin even said $35. When the bill came and it was $38pp I questioned it and was told they sent the wrong confirmation paper out. I said yes, but I was told if I booked before the increase It would be $35. After a lot of looking at me like I was dumb getting the manager and second guessing me they gave it to me for $35 a person. It was not the extra $6.00 a person that I cared about it was the principal. If you are told something it should be honored with no question.

Good for you for standing your ground. As you say, that price should have been honored with no question.

Mistakes happen, but there should have been no more conversation once you pointed out the discrepancy.

 

This is the reason I take hard copies of all e-mail confirmations with me.

I had a similar problem booking and prepaying a spa sale where they billed my wife the difference when she used it and I had to spend some of my cruise at guest services getting it resolved.

 

I won't do it again.

Same thing on the Valor two nights ago. They honored the old price when I called it to their attention.

I wondered if this would happen. Seems like it’s occurring more often.
