Nitemare Posted January 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2006 Sun Princess? Norwegian Sun? You'll always get the best answers if you post questions dealing with specific ships on the boards here dedicated to your specific cruiseline. This "Ask a Cruise Question" board is great for more general inquiries. Good luck and have a great cruise!

caviargal Posted January 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I have cruised on Sun 4 times Gym hours were pretty extensive but they opened late (for me) at 7am and stayed open til 10pm. I never found it to be at all crowded.

Bequia Posted January 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2006 ....I wonder why they close them at all.. Because the sound from the gym and the aerobics room carry to the cabins directly below them.;)
kitty9 Posted January 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2006 They close the gym because the people who staff the gym have to have some time off. Due to liability/insurance concerns, someone from the ship has to be in the gym at all times in case there's an emergency.
caviargal Posted January 17, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I worked out each morning on the Sun and also took classes in the afternoon. These are held in a totally separate area. I never saw a staff member in the gym itself for the duration. I was quite surprised by this because these days it is common practice.
