mickeyhereicome Posted January 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2019 We originally booked with Carnival for the catamaran fan ta sea excursion which uses Blue Water Safari but the reviews have been poor lately. Looking for a good snorkel excursion.
mystkittsdivebuddy Posted January 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2019 All the boat tours take you to the SE coast so the snorkeling is all in the same area. Jan to March can be windy, the last few weeks here have seen some very wet and windy days, not ideal for snorkeling. Take a taxi to Cockleshell beach and snorkel there or go to Friars Bay. Both areas have reefs you can snorkel. You can rent gear at Reggae Beach Bar on Cockleshell and at Shipwreck bar on Friars. That way you can change your plans if the weather is not so good. luv2bcruzng Posted January 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2019 In St. Kitts right now. Had a 9am tour with Blue Water Safari scheduled to Nevis. Got there at 8:45. Another couple showed up also for this tour. At 9am we called the local representative. She said there was no 9am tour but another one scheduled for 10:30. Clear as could be on our paperwork we had a 9am tour. She ended up hanging up on my husband! We booked this through Shoreexursionsgroup.com. We called their number and only got voice messaging and no return call yet. So disappointed in this company!!!
paul58 Posted January 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2019 I would have booked through either Blue Water Safaris directly or through the ship. I would be careful of any third party vendor especially if they request a payment beforehand.

They have been a very reputable company. We have spoken to them this morning and they will be refunding our money. The problem was not with them but with Blue Water Safaris. Shoreexcursionsgroup.com is trying to contact them on our behalf to find out what happened and now they are not even answering their phone!!! Thank you! This is what we are going to do. Do both beaches have chair and umbrella rentals? What about food, drink, and rest rooms?
mystkittsdivebuddy Posted January 18, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Everything you need is available at both beaches, personally I prefer Friars tends to be less busy, shipwreck is one of about 4 or 5 bars on that beach, Shipwreck is always open. Some of the others can be a bit hit and miss. Carambola beach club is right at the other end of the same beach. https://shipwreckstkitts.com/

Carolina Girl 99 Posted January 24, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2019 I have also been searching excursions for St Kitts when we go next month. Was looking at the Reggae Beach Bar website and found this tour/excursion company under the LINKS section on their website.https://lizpereirastourstore.shutterfly.com/availabletours Liz gets really good reviews on T/A- will likely book with her once the family decides what they want to do for the day
PRH Posted January 30, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Blue Safari is really up and down. They’ve canceled last minute twice and once, went off without a hitch. Wasn’t that impressed with their trip. It does take you to Pinney beach between the 4 seasons and Sunshine’s bar—home of the killer bee drink. Beach loungers not great and pay for umbrellas—but they have drinks out of thei4 coolers.
