How are the prices for a bottle of wine in Singapore to bring on the ship.  Would it be cheaper to pay the ship's prices.

Wine is very expensive in Singapore. By the time you buy the wine and pay corkage it would work out more expensive than buying onboard.

I can't remember the ship's prices, but yes, the prices of wine in Singapore are not low, primarily due to high liquor taxes.

If you are arriving at Changi Airport, you may want to check out the duty free wines at DFS (which is near the baggage claim area) to get some bottles, that would help save on some taxes.  These days when I return from overseas trips, I buy whiskey lol.  This is what a DFS store looks like, this one at Terminal 3.  The chart shows you the allowances (assuming you are arriving from outside Malaysia), per adult.

The $32 Coldstream Hills Chardonnay is around AU $25 at a major Australian bottle store, so that's not too bad given it's imported from Australia. However some of the other prices are way too high: The $40 Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon is around AU $11 here, and the $45 Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is AU $17.

The Singapore dollar is fairly close to the Australian dollar - 1 SGD = 1.03 AUD at present.
