Your Time Dining

Ever since the update, I can't seem to easily find info on here...  Hope this is not too redundant.

Sailing in April, waitlisted for early dining.  If we have to use YT dining (or whatever it is called), how does it work?  Is it seating much like a restaurant (wait for a table to open up)?  Never used that dining option and would like to get on the ship knowing a bit about it.

Thanks!

You can request size table you want. If you are happy with your servers that you have the first night, you can request to be seated in their section , even the same table, each night.  Show up any time during the YTD seating times.  We love it!

Yes it's like restaurant dining. I always get YTD, and I love it! I usually just have one other person traveling with me so I enjoy when we get sat with other cruisers at a big table so we can meet new friends, but we've also been sat at just a two seater table too. It just depends on how full they are when you arrive.

Wait will depend on the time you get into line at the dining room and the ship. Also how it works will depend on ship. Some ships you wait at the door and get in line. On Sunshine you get your ticket upstairs and then go to the dining room. I eat early so usually never wait. On dressup nights the line at atd start early .

If you have a group go together

I've only ever done your time dining. You get to choose whether you want a table for only your party, or to be seated with other cruisers. I have never had to wait for a table, but I also tend to go almost as soon as ytd opens up most nights.

more often than not the tables are ready, unless its elegant night or there is a specific age range of the ship

starts at 5:45pm - 9:30pm

you can request a specific table number or wait staff you just may need to wait for their section to become available 🙂
