villager2004 Posted January 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2019 In regards to receiving on board credit for owning Carnival Corp. stock, Princess says that this OBC cannot be used for gratuities, but yet several posters on other other posts say it can be used. Anyone with experience with this?

Anyone with experience with this? It’s a simple credit to your onboard account from which any type of debit is deducted...including gratuities. Thanks- TL Neither of us go to the casino however I have read posts from those who said they used SOBC there. It’s a simple credit & their accounting system has not enforced those restrictions. “This offer cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities”. TwoCruisers Posted January 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2019 On my recent cruise on the Pacific Princess I had over $600 in OBC. Some of it was from the Princess promotion, some from the stock holder credit and some from other sources. All of the credit is lumped together and I can’t tell which is which. I used some of the OBC to pay for Princess tours, some for the Steak house and I also took out $100 on each of two nights in the casino. One night I lost my money and the other night I cashed it in. So yes you can use the OBC in the casino.

Not so on my last 3 cruises, so the question becomes "when", not "if".
