Beachin2 Posted January 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2019 Don't cruise NCL often, but currently on Gem with the PBP as a perk. Casino bar tonight would give me all the booze I wanted, but wanted to charge me $4.00 for a bottle of water. Really? What kind of sense does that make? Is this routine? Water is free in glasses all over the ship. Bottled water is free if you have a casino drink card. It does make sense if you took the time to read the terms and conditions of the package you took: Does not include: Wine and Spirit Experiences, tastings or Flights, Starbucks, Ice Bars, room service, package sales, bottled water, ship specific promotions or beer buckets, designated super premium brands (subject to change), bottled wine, mini bar purchases, fresh squeezed juices, Lavazza coffee beverages, wine dispenser, energy drinks or vending machines. Beachin2 Posted January 22, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Thank you both for your comments to remind me why I call his site CruisER critic. My booking paperwork did not contain the t&c language, and finding anything on their site through the ships internet wasn't answering the question. We try to reduce our intake of the ships desalinated "tap". water since it still contains higher amounts of salt than most bottles sources, but are well aware that the taps really do contain water. We declined their offer to increase our package to include bottles water for "only" $247 per person for the voyage, or to purchase the multi-pack at $3 per bottle (for $.89 bottles). Since we booked a suite, it isn't the $ it's the principal. We did change our regular liquor to call brands that are at the top edge of the package though rather than our usuals which are more in the middle (about 25% On the price chart) so guess we are glad they made us delve further into the package constraints.
