Priority Tendering

My husband and I will be taking our first cruise at Platinum level in March (on Vista). How does priority tendering work? Is there a separate line in the same place or a different place, do we still have to get "tickets"? We're going to Belize so I definitely want to take advantage of the platinum perk since tendering is such a pain! (I know they're calling it "water shuttle" now but it will always be tendering to me! )

No tickets . Usually you call guest services and request a time for debarkation. Then you walk down to guest services where a staff member will then escort you to the tenders. It may be called water shuttle ,but it still tenders.

But then you're talking about Vista the ultra packed ship where triple Diamonds and Platinum's may be aboard , you may have to just get tickets after all

If I may recap on this ,  Ship to shore= tender.  Shore to Shore = water shuttle .

The last few cruises we were on with tendering, D&Ps were told to meet at a certain time and location. On Miracle last month we met at the Red Frog Pub. Like Bodidly mentioned, the process may be different with a large number of D&Ps.

Similar process on Magic recently. Meeting point was Dining Room, people arrived, escorted you down and on the tender(guess they call them water shuttles now). Had about a 1 hour window set for anyone who wanted to get off early.

When we cruise on Feb 10 we have priority tendering. This is the first time for us. 

 

So they notify you in some one way or are you just left to wing it and figure it out on your own?

On the Magic we received a letter prior in the stateroom with the details.

On the Miracle in Dec we meet in a lounge for priority tendering. Really was funny when we followed another tender out.

Were also turing Platinum on the Vista on the March 3rd sailing so thank you for asking as we were winding about this too.   Are you also on the 3/3 sailing?

Just remember that the priority tendering/water taxi is ship to shore only.  There is no priority tendering coming back, shore to ship.

They will tell you a time to show up, usually one of the first tenders ashore, afterwards whenever you show up, your Platinum card will get you on the next tender going ashore!
