NYC disembark-how long can we stay in cabin? on ship?

This is our 1st Oceania cruise. I asume there is a typical time that one must depart the cabin (such as 8am) and then off the ship (such as 9:30am). When is the latest breakfast (buffet is fine)?  We're taking an 11:30 train from NYC and would prefer to  eat breakfast as late as possible.

We arrive on a Sunday. Does it take longer for customs? Is 11:30 a safe train time? thanks, Elaine

Terrace will close 7:30 to 8.  Grab a couple sweet rolls to take along or get a bite in the train station.  Penn station and Grand Central are loaded with eateries.

Customs, immigration are pretty much a wave through.

11:30 is a very safe train time.  If you are going to Penn Station for Amtrak, it  is not far at all.  Sunday traffic is generally light, with the exception of Special events like Columbus Day, marathon day, etc.

Taxi line is across the street.  Cross at the light.

Uber drivers may or may not pull into the terminal drop off area, depending on which direction they are coming from.  They may ask you to walk across the street..

We are frequent visitors to NYC and absolutely love sailing in or out of there.  If your ship gets in the day before, this is the best port in the world.   Enjoy.
