Carnival Miracle Vista Suite

Hi All. I'm new to this forum, joining only today. My wife and I are planning to take a cruise on Carnival's Miracle from Tampa, Fl around the Caribbean for 7 days. It is our first cruise so we thought we would do it up right and spend the extra money on a suite.

I like the wrap around balcony on the Vista suite. I've watched some You Tube videos people who have stayed in those suites have posted but I was hoping to get some additional comments from folks who have stayed in one. We are both 66 years old, but my wife can't really handle too many stairs. From what I have read, deck 6 seems to be mid way between the decks where stuff seems to be happening.

Would that be a good location for us to be do you think? Also where in Tampa does the ship leave from? It seems I read it leaves at 4:00pm, but I'm trying to narrow down the location so I can book a hotel close by. We will be planning to arrive a day before the sailing to make sure we don't get hung up somewhere along the line. Do you have to tip bartenders when they bring you a drink?

I'll probably have more questions as time goes by. Hope I don't become too much of a pain in the neck. We were looking at the May 5th cruise.

Welcome to Cruise Critic.  You should move on over to the Carnival board here, under Cruise Lines A-O.  Folks there can help you out with all the tips about sailing Carnival.  Here is  a map of the port in Tampa:

When we sailed from Tampa on the Pride, we were at terminal 3.  EM
