Just back from Bliss

We were in our first Haven on the Bliss.  We now are no soooo spoiled!

 

It was a wonderful cruise with one rather large complaint!

 

Our first show was Havana.  We lasted only a few minutes because as soon as it started the volume was so loud it hurt my ears.  We were really looking forward to seeing the Jersey Boys and sat pretty far back (as someone posted would be better because of the volume).  It too was also incredible loud.  We have been to many Broadway shows plus musical shows on many ships (about 80 cruises) and we have never heard music blasting that loud.  (One exception was a Carnival cruise)  For Jersey Boys my husband and I tried ear plugs but that just ruined the singing. We spoke with a member of the crew who told us that when they set up the theater for shows the volume is set and cannot be changed.  Is this true?  I can't believe we were the only ones bothered by this.  We have not had this problem on other Norwegian ships (been on Escape, Getaway, Dawn, Jade).

I felt the same way about the volume of Havana and brought earplugs to jersey boys which helped. Why would the cruise line have it so loud?

How was the weather on your cruise? We had friends aboard but have not heard from them.

Weather was great!  Warm not over the top hot.  We had some rain the last day.
