We are going on another cruise and I need help deciding. Its a choice between Panama Canal and Hawaii. Help me choose, let me know the pros and cons of the trips.

Grammy, it may be of help if you would narrow it down some. There are about a zillion different itineraries for the two options. Would you be doing a round trip or one way Hawaii, full or partial transit of the canal? Which cruise line as well, thanks.

If you have to fly to your port of embarkation, take that into consideration as well. Although we have done full transit canal cruises several times, we much prefer to take round trip cruises where we can buy our own air.

Canal cruise should be longer (14 days?), more sea days, wider difference in ports visited. One way or multi-city flight required (notice you are in AZ)

 

Hawaii 7 day will be a port a day, Hawaii 10 day you will spend time getting to and from Fanning Island. Ports will be somewhat more similar to each other..

 

We have done both (as well as Trans Pacific to Hawaii) and enjoyed them both. The canal has the excitement of a full transit which is unique and not available on the 10 canal trips from FL.

 

Time of the year would / should also influence your choice. My choice would be the canal.. one reason being it is longer.:D
