robbyxoxo Posted April 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2004 ....i was checking rates for the Miracle out of Tampa this december 5th and 12th...a few months ago u could get a 1A cabin for as low as $440ish pp total cost...now i see on two different TA sites where there are no cabins left below a category 4E with prices starting at $775ish.....is this normal for a cruise 8 months away to have sold out the lower categories?...i thought it was a super price to start with for a newer ship with 4 port stops...maybe thats why theyve sold out early?......am glad i booked earlier
kujobie Posted April 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2004 I noticed that, too. Wish I had jumped on those deals when they first came out. I think it's cuz It just gets to Tampa in early November. The locals are digging that. We've had the dinosaurs sailing out of here for a long time (Jubilee, Sensation, Inspiration) Now we've got the newest ship in the fleet coming. I have a feeling the first few months will be sellouts. Jubilee..May 2002 Sensation...May 2003 Glory...April 2004

serene56 Posted April 8, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2004 The Miracle is the newest ship- which will sell out very quickly. You will see the same on the Carnival Valor when that comes available. I see also the earlier you book is about the greatest savings. (If that sailin gis not doing too well you will see similiar savings towards the sailing) Last year I saw the cruise to Nowhere on the Legend selling for 199. pp. Same cabin is now over 400pp. Wished I jumped on it back then. CruiseFever Posted April 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2004 A good TA can correct me if I am wrong but I think that the lowest and highest categories tend to sell most briskly at first.
