CanadianCruiser1985 Posted February 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Hi all, Going to Grand Cayman for the day and we really want to swim with turtles! Which beach would you recommend where we would be most likely to swim with some turtle friends? Also, I have heard you are most likely to see them in the morning. Do you think we would have time to do both beaches? I believe we leave port at 4pm via tender. How much would a cab to each of these destinations be? Thanks! TravellingBritNY Posted February 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2019 Spotts Beach all the way! It's not a 100% thing - I have been there and not seen one, but it's your best chance if you want to see then in the wild. No idea of cab costs - I have a rental car when I an on island. Capt_BJ Posted February 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2019 (edited) I have over 100 dives at Grand Cayman and IME the turtles do NOT follow a schedule or stay in one place for long ..... if you go to a beach with the goal 'swim with a turtle' you are probably gonna be disappointed in my Cayman dives, turtle sightings would be 3 or 4 wanna gar'en'te swim with a turtle .... go to the turtle farm. Gatorzzzz Posted February 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2019 (edited) I went to Spotts Beach last month. It was fantastic. Make sure to take a snorkeling vest, the current can be strong. We took the bus to the beach. Edited February 16, 2019 by Gatorzzzz
