Adventure Waterslides height

Hi everyone! My son is just a hair under 48" but over with his flip flops on. Does anyone know if they make you be barefoot when they check your height?

Will they be required to remove them for the slide?  That might be the answer to the question.

 

Tip - Royal has several ships that can be abbreviated AOS, might help for other topics to identify by the actual name...

There's another similar question in a different thread, and the answer there was the child had to remove water shoes for height measurement, and apparently they were very strict about it.

 

They also weigh adults who (apparently in their opinions) look like they might be over the weight limit. We were asked to step on a scale by some, but not all, attendants.
