Conquest Class Cabin Questions

We are booked in rooms 6368 and 6370 on the Glory. These rooms are directly above Club O2 and by the midship elevators that are near the casino/casino bar. Has anyone stayed in these cabins that could advise if noise from O2 or smoke from the casino will be an issue? I'm wondering if I need to attempt to move to a different deck.

I cannot answer your questions but we were in a cabin very far aft on deck 6 (not an actual aft cabin though) last month and could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the lounges below us. We didn’t attend the comedy shows, Quest, or any of the other events but felt like we did. Actually had a quite detailed discussion the next day with someone who participated in Quest. We found it more humorous than anything but won’t be booking there again

Very early in our cruising life, we determined that the best approach is to keep at least one floor of cabins above and below you when booking. This provides a buffer zone between your cabin and decks that can generate noise. On the Conquest class ships we always get cabins on Deck 7. Deck 5 and Deck 9 on these ships generate most of the hearable noises almost all day and late into the night. Buffer them if you can. Yes, Deck 7 is a little more cost than 6, but it is worth it.

The smoke from the casinos seems to go up the mid ship stairs, those behind the casino bar.  You will begin to smell it as you get near those stairs/elevators on deck 6 or 7, but not in your cabin.

I don't know what time club o2 closes, but you may want to find out, especially if you are early sleepers.  You are not near the comedy club or pino bar, or on top of the casino band, so I wouldn't worry about noise from those venues.  If O2 closes at a reasonable hour for you, then stay where you are booked.

To clarify my earlier post, I did not mean you would have any issue with the venues we did. Just that sounds do carry from lower decks. However I don’t think you would have mcj noise from O2 since I doubt they are using microphones, etc. I’m not sure about the smoke.

Thanks everyone! I called my pvp and there are no balcony/interior combos on 7 that work for us. He has some stuff on deck 8 but I think we'd have more noise from the Lido buffet than Club O2. Since no one seems to think we'd have an issue with smoke in our cabins (even if there is a slight smell in the hall) then we are going to stay where we are booked. Fingers crossed that it works out for us. I know there are no perfect cabins on these ships but for the money we spend I want to make sure my kids sleep and don't have asthma issue. Thanks again!
