greatam Posted January 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2006 does anyone know if all the hawaii cruise ships are without a casino?thanks Yes-not allowed due to US laws. The ship MAY have a casino (like Celebrity, HAL, etc. ) but it is not allowed to operate in US waters. If you are going on a Hawaii only cruise-fly to Hawaii, cruise around the islands, there will be NO casino.
kitty9 Posted January 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2006 The two NCL ships that sail exclusively around Hawaii don't even have casinos. It's actually Hawaiian law that forbids gambling on cruise ships. When you're in Hawaiian waters, no casino.
flamomo Posted January 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2006 The Island Princess' casino is operational on the sea days to and from Hawaii, and closed throughout the 5 days she is in Hawaiian waters. I'm fortunate to be sailing on her on Saturday 1/21/06.
