Recommended Posts

Going on the Marella Dream in a few weeks time. This is the first time with this cruise line, we usually sail with Royal Caribbean. We have booked a Outside Plus cabin on deck 5 midship. Can anybody give any info on these type cabin i.e. what toiletries are provided and are they bigger in size to the usually outside cabin. How many Formal nights on a 7 night cruise. Is the dress code adhered to and what is the  guidelines for the Formal nights. Thank You

You will have liquid soap by the sink and liquid soap/shower gel in the bath/ shower You will also have tissues but that's all We usually are midships deck 7 outside plus and the cabins are a good size with a small sofa,  a small table, 2 bedside cabinets and plenty of wardrobe space. These cabins are where the ship was extended by adding an extra section in the middle and have larger windows.

On Dream there is a Captains Night once a week where you will be allocated either a first of second sitting for dinner in the MDR and there are usually lots in DJs or Dress Kilts but you can wear a lounge suit, shirt and tie,. Ladies wear either evening or cocktail dresses/trousers.

Think it starts about 1800hrs but it varies from ship to ship and yes you do have a charge on this particular ship.

A couple more questions and I will leave you in peace for now. How many power points is there and what type  are they and does the hair dryer have to use one of them. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to answer my questions. Much appreciated.

Yes the hair dryer is plug in on this ship with one other socket Mrs PC manages fine with the dryer and uses her tongues, think that's right. Sockets are the standard two round if you have any problems the cabin steward will help out.

Cheers

We always take a 4 gang with a short lead - doesn't weigh much - so you only need one  converter plug (EU)The hair dryer is already plugged in and can't be removed The kettle socket is the best to use we think

You are advised of the MDR opening times in your Cruise News delivered to your cabin every evening -usually 6.30 to 9.30

The evening buffet is usually from 5.30 to 11.00 then supper meals til 1 am
