Susan in Maine Posted February 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Just got the "Royal UP" email for our Anthem cruise in April. What is the difference between these cabins? Is it worth bidding on? Thanks!

Susan in Maine Posted February 17, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Thanks. I guess I was looking for a more subjective answer.
coconut telegraph Posted February 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2019 In my experience a superior balcony stateroom would be on more desirable decks or close to the elevators. Some ships I've seen superior staterooms listed as aft balconies as well. Room sizes typically are exactly the same in these two categories. Susan in Maine Posted February 19, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted February 19, 2019 Thanks. I'm trying to decide if it is worth bidding for the superior, and if so, how much.

I agree the 1D and 2D categories only have a larger balconies but the same amount of space or area inside as the other Cat. D balcony cabins. What is the cabin category designation you are being offered to bid on as Superior Balconies? If the 1C, 2C or 4C Large Balcony categories, these actually have less space or area inside than the D categories, 177 vs 198 sq.ft. Susan in Maine Posted February 21, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Thanks everyone. You pretty much confirmed what I thought already. Since I'm happy with the cabin I have, I decided not to bother.
