FTTF (Faster to the fun) Port Tender advantage???

I searched the boards and can't find any recent posts regarding the advantages of FTTF in tendered ports.  I know what the website says, which is vague...

 

Does anyone have actual experience recently in Belize and Grand Cayman using FTTF "priority tender"?  I know in the past, you'd walk up to the customer service desk and be escorted to the front of the line.  Is that still the case?

I was on the Magic two weeks in Grand Cayman.  The night before a letter was left in our cabin saying we needed to report to the dining room at 7:30 for priority tender

Normally, you will be given a letter in your stateroom the day before.  This will tell you when and where to meet to be on the first "water shuttle."  After that, just stop by Guest Services and they'll make sure you get to the front of the line for subsequent shuttles.

We had FTTF last Feb. But I think the priority boarding didn't apply to us in Grand Cayman because we had booked a Carnival excursion. We were sent a note saying what time to meet in a specific diningroom

You get a letter in your stateroom laying out the ships way and meeting place for the tender priority...  Different ships do it different ways..

Once when we reported to the Guest Services for priority tender, they had us sit in the adjacent waiting area with a lot of other people. I assumed they were also waiting for priority tender. We waited quite awhile then all went together and took up an entire tender.

I've been on a tender twice. Including Grand Cayman about 2 weeks ago. Did not have FTTF. Did not wait for a tender. Neither did we last time either.

REMEMBER … Priority is only getting off the ship, not the return trip.  Allow time to make sure you get a tender.
