Playing on a Single Players Card?

My Wife and I have always shared a players club card when we gamble. No matter where we have gambled the desk would give us multiple cards with the idea that a shared bankroll could pool the coin-in and thus comps.

Is it possible on the ships? Could one "lose" and get a replacement and play two cards in different machines to earn points at one time?

I mainly play craps and UTH and will dabble in slots and VP. I hate the idea of diluting our play by being rated separate and thus decreasing our likelihood of getting bounce back offers.

We booked a low rate 5 day balcony using urcomped on RCCL and were upgraded to prime immediately with free drinks while playing (not a big deal since we bought the drink package anyway).

What kind of points would we need to even get a certificate?

Thanks in advance.

For most land based Casinos and ship Casinos you are not supposed to share cards to gain more points.  It is supposed to be individual play on each card.  I know a lot of people bend the rules, or cheat to get a better combined rating.  I have heard that if two people are playing on the same card, at the same time, and they are at different locations in the casino, if you win a jackpot they could possibly void the jackpot. I don't know this for a fact so I play by the rules.

On NCL I usually get an extra card.  Sometimes my DH is playing next to me using my extra card but I wouldn't have him playing across the casino with it.  The hosts seem to be OK with it as they are the ones who printed me the extra card and then stopped by to talk to the both of us.  I do know that with NCL's CAS they will sometimes look at both spouses play in order to decide on future comps.

On land my DH hit a handpay while sitting at my machine while I took a break.  They didn't care and handpay was paid to him.  This is with Caesars group and our players cards are linked in their system but we each have our own status.

Looks like I'll ask the cage critter for two cards and they either will or won't give me a second one.

They will always give you an extra card, I get one so I can play 2 machines at once.  But the rules still say only one persons play per account.

Just got home from the Bliss and spent a lot of time in that casino 🙂

The casino hosts printed me an extra card and I would sometimes have the extra in the machine next to me with my spouse playing that machine.  Hosts walked up to us several times and chatted with us while we both played.  Didn't seem to be a problem.

You could always ask at the club desk if spouses are allowed to play same card.

Sand and Seas the copy and paste below comes directly from NCL Casinos at Sea Terms and conditions for the program.  Read You may not provide your Rewards Card to another individual to be used in casino play or on yours or anyone else's behalf. Fairly self explanatory to me.

Program Participation

The Company will open a membership account in your name, and you will receive a membership number. You will be provided with a Casinos At Sea membership card (“Rewards Card”) which must be presented, along with proper identification, during your game play to accrue points. As a member, you are responsible for utilizing your Rewards Card and membership for your casino play. You may not provide your Rewards Card to another individual to be used in casino play on your or anyone else’s behalf. You are responsible for reading these Terms to understand your rights, responsibilities, and status in the Program, as well as how to earn points and/or redeem rewards (“Rewards”).

I get it people, terms and conditions.

I was asking about actual experiences. You know, real life encounters within the casino regarding husbands and wives. Hosts have a varying degree of discretion in allowing things such as this and beyond.

I depart for a family trip on Carnival Liberty at the end of March. I will report back how that goes for a single card. I'll do the same with RCCL cruise at the end of April since I believe we meet with the host prior to sailing away.

The idea of voiding  a jackpot is preposterous. The only realm that might (heavy emphasis) happen is if it was done with freeplay on a shared card; it would be a gaming commission issue. However, the casino could void your rewards number where you could play without accruing comps.

Thank you Rascal Dog.  Just trying to provide my actual experience from over 25 cruises comped through NCL's Casinos at Sea.

I agree-  Rules are rules and we know they can choose to enforce them or not.  I do know they often combine spouses onboard play to provide onboard and future comps.
