Cheers and "Zero-proof"

On our last cruise we used Cheers and did a lot of *cocktail* and a water orders. We also did other zero-proof drinks at random times (grabbing a gatorade etc) without ordering alcoholic drinks. But--can I order a cocktail and any of the zero-proof drinks at the same time? I know there is a wait time between alcoholic drinks but in hindsight I would like to be able to grab a cocktail and a gatorade/energy drink when I'm heading back to our room. Anyone know?

We were told by the bar staff on the Miracle last year that you could get any non-alcoholic drink at the same time when ordering an alcoholic drink. Also our barista told us you can get a bottle of water at the same time as any coffee bar drink, and you can get any of the non-alcoholic drinks when ordering a spiked coffee drink.

I find it to be mixed, sometimes I could get a water with a drink and sometimes not. I tried to get a spiked coffee and a monster energy drink at the same time and had to wait at the 5 minutes at the coffee shop on the Breeze 2 weeks ago. While at the casino bar never had an issue getting a bottle of water with a drink.

It seems silly to me to make someone wait 5 minutes for a bottled water.  It also seems like Carnival is adding more work to their own staff.

depends on the bartender I think. I usually like certain ones and give them extra tips so it's never and issue even ordering 2 alcoholic drinks at the same time when from them they just ring in through a few min later
