Doubletree Hilton Miami Doral

I came across this hotel and was wondering if anyone had any experience.  I am not sure if it is brand new or just renovated/rebranded but the usual sites don't seem to have reviews for it. 

Has anyone stayed here or have any info on proximity to cruise port? It came up listed as close to airport and the rates are decent for NYE time frame

Doral is West of the airport so farther from the port.  Check Google maps to see what is nearby for dining and shopping options.

We are sailing out of Miami in September and got a room at Comfort Suites Miami Airport North.  They have free shuttle from the airport and also to the pier.  The total cost for the 2 of us is $100.  Not sure what the cost would be when you are sailing but it may be worth it to check them out.

Getting in and out of Doral is always a nightmare.  Plan for twice as long as you think it will take you.
