DDnRD Posted March 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2019 Hello all, My husband and I are looking for a clean, safe, and close to the port airbnb. Will need it for 4 nights. First time to Portugal and would like to be able to walk around the area. Any help would be great. Thanks, Deb & Ron aka DDnRD
Ski Mom 2 Posted March 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2019 (edited) We stayed here in September 2014 for 4 nights. It was a lovely location and we walked all over. It is also very easy to use Uber. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance and we even walked home from the fort (downhill most of the way!). There are several apartments he rents out. There is an elevator but it sometimes didn’t work so that meant several floors of steps but it kept us in shape. Very easy to deal with and full of information too. Oh and he had a WiFi thing that we could take with us outside the apartment that came in handy. Here is a pic I took from the balcony. I’m happy to answer any other questions you might have. https://abnb.me/69LM2RT49U Edited March 18, 2019 by Ski Mom

No. We called an Uber and it was about $5-6 bucks I think for that trip, maybe less. It was within walking distance of all kinds of places that we didn't even realize when we arrived: Santa Justa lift (you are close to the top of it; admire the view but don't pay to use it, there is a secret elevator through a store down below that you can take back up), Terreiro do Paco (although it looks downhill from apartment if you pick the right streets it's mostly flat), and so much shopping and restaurants and a few churches and museums. It really was a fabulous location
