Forward facing PH?

The discussion of Vista suites and "forward facing" issues (e.g., wind) remind us of the one thing we *really* miss on Oceania:  a less pricy suite option that is forward facing.

On the O ships, there are, IIRC, two veranda cabins between two Vista suites on one of the Decks with that WONDERFUL (for us!) forward view.

We are among those who do enjoy the services of a Butler, and we definitely like the great space and layout of the O ship PH space.

But we really don't want/need all the space of a Vista suite, nor the extra $$ - and especially now that we have the time to travel more

Not that it matters, but does anyone have any idea why O put two non-suites between the Vista suites there, rather than change the spacing slightly, and add PH suites (maybe on each deck)?  After all, with the two Vista suites, there is already Butler service in the area.

(It seems those 4 PH suites aft on deck 7 would be more "out of the way" for Butlers.)

We are among those who really like to see where we are going, even when at sea... but especially when near land or approaching ports.  We just love it when we do have that view, albeit not yet on Oceania.

Does anyone know if there is any chance that the new ships will have any forward facing PH suites?

Thanks.

Much too early to tell.  Will be quite awhile until we see deck plans.     I do look forward to them.

As I understand it, the logic of offering those non suite cabins between the larger Suites is that they might  be used as  "extra bedrooms with bath " in combination with the big Suites.

But they are not connecting with the larger suites on any of the ships so it does not help very much.

I'm not so sure that accounts for this.  In addition to what RJB mentioned (not connecting), there is already a regular cabin on each side of the Vista Suites, with regular side views/balconies.  So IF they are combining Vista + cabin, they've already got a lovely and large forward balcony.

NCL has a few ships with some OS that have a forward balcony (nice and large) *plus* a side balcony - useful if forward balcony is just too windy.  But on O, the suite and cabin aren't connecting, so it's much less useful.

We've never been bothered by the wind, although I'm sure that could happen.
As long as there is a nice barrier (metal or glass), one can sit rather well sheltered.

On the best such suite we had, it was high, above the Bridge, and the 'barrier' was lovely clear glass (or other transparent material).  Steel/etc., apparently wasn't needed that high up for ship integrity (I'm assuming if there was that much stress that high, there would already have been other, er, "trouble" 😱 ).

True, but for those looking for a second or third bedroom, those in between cabins provide an alternative.

Also, those cabins  which interconnect with the Vistas  adjoin through the bedroom in the Vista.  Negates the whole idea of extra privacy.

Do not see any Vista cabins that connect on any deck plans.   Is it a secret or something?   Please show us.
