mjkacmom Posted March 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2019 She will go early before regular passengers, I’m not sure about priority passengers like suite guests.
Rare luv2kroooz Posted March 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2019 Boarding usually pretty good as long as you don't US customs or public health inspection. Disembarking is hit or miss depending on size of ship and the time you dock.
Rare mking8288 Posted March 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2019 (edited) Best to check back 1 to 2 months before sailing for any late/last minute changes - but, generally speaking - the following for NY embarkation: First, notify & alert NCL Special Needs, including use of wheelchairs (bringing your own ? be sure that it is the transport, folding type that can fit & store easily, etc.) Plan to arrive, unless notify otherwise, around 10 a.m. to check-in, usually it is Pier 88 only for mega-ships ... upon entering the terminal building, keep to your left (port side) and look for signage for Special Needs, and/or ask the greeters, as they will show or direct you to a shorter line for security screening. Then, proceed to check-in ... you should be given lower/special boarding # or colors, for Special Needs ... there is a designated seating/waiting area ("lounge") near the rear of the building to sit until they are ready to board. *** see pix below Haven guests will be escorted thru boarding first, then VIP & possibly (if any) wedding parties, then, it will be Special Needs ... then Platinum/Plus/Ambassadors, followed by casino guests, and then general boarding by group/zone #'s given when checking in. If you aren't given one and/or directed to the Special Needs area, ask the pier agent before leaving the check-in counters with your keycards.
