Katakolon: Beach question

Good evening,

 

we are going to Katakolon in September an dI hope, we have beach weather then.

 

Any advices which beach to go to and how much the fare ( taxi or the little train ) is?  I heard about Kourouta Beach, is it nice?

The taxis will take you to the other side for around 20 euros, maybe 10 to 15 minutes away. or you can rent a car and go further.  We have done both and the second time believe we visited Kourouta.   We found the closer beach just as nice,  it isn’t the one in the above picture as you can’t see your ship.

As you can see from this photo, this is the closest beach. The ship is QE2.

Katakolon doesn't have decent beaches like many greek islands do, but if you want to go to one there is only Kourouta beach I think that's worth visiting.

We have been to both and liked the closer one about 15 minutes away just as well.
