Celebrity Summit Cabins 6131 and 6132

We are regular Celebrity cruisers and usually opt for a Sky Suite midships however the aft suites 6131 and 6132 do have larger balconies but look close to elevators. Has any of you lovely cruisers stayed in these particular suites and experienced any noise or disruption from the elevators? I am a very light sleeper!

I have stayed in both those cabins and haven't had any disruption from the elevators.

Anyone been in these cabins since the 'revolutionizing'?

We were on Summit two weeks ago on Deck 6 in a Sky Suite. The refurbishment has seemingly resulted in some ill-sealing cabin doors. We kept hearing some faint music in the middle of the night and couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

 

When I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the second night, I was surprised to see that I could see light all the way around the cabin door! The music we were hearing was the loud Muzak that runs day and night. With a little pestering, they were ultimately able to turn down the volume.  We met others who had similar complaints. One couple said that engineering came and put a seal, like a weather strip around the door.

 

We were generally able to hear anyone talking in the corridor.

We stayed in 6131 last fall - lovely cabin - we loved how close it was to the stairs and elevator - literally a flight or two to just about anywhere on the ship we wanted to go...

We stayed in 6131 in January and loved the cabin. No noise but so close to everything. Loved the oversize balcony.

Thanks for the responses.  DH and I are really good with noise - it never seems to bother us so that probably won't be an issue and if Celebrity is aware of it hopefully they will address it.  We booked 6132 for a Panama Canal cruise in 2020 so hopefully the kinks will be worked out by then.

I felt 6131 was a bit noisy. I stuffed a towel under the door to block the light and it seemed people like to congregate in that stairwell/elevator area. It is a great cabin and very convenient, I'm a bit noise sensitive.
