Question about passport

Hi all!

 

We'll be in Cozumel next week.  Traveling on RCCL Brilliance with my daughter and her friend.   We are all US Citizens

I have paperwork (travel authorization) from friend's parents.   

When we get to Cozumel, should I have passports with us when we leave and return to ship or should I just take a copy of it as well as the authorization since I'm not her parent?

It really won't be an issue most likely unless you miss the ship and have to fly home.  

 

Leave your passport in the safe onboard the ship....but

 

HERE is what I recommend for everyone...

 

make photo copies of your passports and take them with you ashore at every port..... that way, if you do miss the ship for some crazy reason (like car trouble/accident, or something and get delayed) then you can go to authorities and show them the photocopies and your drivers licenses (you must take those with you off the ship for ID) as well as your Sign-and-Sail card.  You will have a much easier experience getting help and back home if you have those.  They can research the passports easier, and you have ID to match it.  Just MY recommendations for EVERYONE.
