Weddings at sea are organised for the various ships by wedding planners, link below. On some ships you can be married at sea, others it must be at port.. it depends where ship is registered. The cruise lines sell an off the peg package, but you can taylor this. I know all about it, because my husband and I were married on the Crown Princess in 2013. It was a beautiful wedding. The amazing benefits included... having hairdresser, make up, florist, caterer, photographer and person conducting service all under one roof, and all overseen by a dedicated wedding planner, all for an extremely reasonable cost. We have incredible photos and DVD and wonderful memories. I can not recommend it highly enough! Good luck x

thank you when we do it I am sure it will be at sea, we are happy how we are and have been for over 20 years but unfortunately we will be better off if we are married before we leave this world I know very cynical but unfortunately until laws give living together couples the same rights as married couples we see no choice

that said your photo is beautiful and everyone has a different life plan

thank you and hope I don't get slated for our unusual rationale for marriage

Why would you be slated for your reason for marrying? Friends of mine married for exactly the same reason. Like you they had been in a relationship for a long time.

On a different note, please be aware that if you are a same sex couple and plan to marry during a Caribbean cruise, Bermuda does not permit same-sex marriages, so you can't be married on any cruise ship registered in Bermuda, which includes P&O vessels. It doesn't matter whether the ship is sailing in the Caribbean or elsewhere in the world - it's the registration that counts.

Other than Britannia which is registered in Southampton.
