v3cruiser Posted March 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Hello, Does carnival typically let cruisers exchange dollars for euros while on the ship? If so, is transaction rate higher?

Bases5 Posted March 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2019 KevlnPitt answered your question. No I will add we have not found any cruise lines that offer money exchange, WE have found the best exchange rate while traveling over sea's was using a Travel CC (capital one) at a bank ATM. Our C one card has no cash advance fees, no foreign transaction fees, We go to our local bank and get $100 euro just to have something when arriving (taxi mainly) until we can hit a ATM. YMMV just y 2 cents
klfrodo Posted March 31, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2019 On my last Royal cruise in Europe, they had 2 ATM machines. One in the casino dispensed USD. One near Guest Services that dispensed Euros. No, Guest Services did not operate an exchange service. There are ATM’s that can be used world wide. The world has gotten much smaller.
v3cruiser Posted March 31, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Thanks or info! Ok. We were last on norwegian star and they had quite a few denominations to exchange to.
