Mae West, I have never heard of cruiselines limiting the number of pieces of luggage. The airlines DO limit the number of pieces of luggage to 2, with each weighing no more than 50 pounds, over which you will pay a fee. You are also allowed on purse type carry-on and one rolling carry-on by the airline.

RCI and Celebrity ships also do not have self-service laundry.

There are laundry services that you pay for that aren't horribly expensive.

Have fun planning your cruise!

I believe Princess & Carnival well some of their ships anyways, have self laundry room. Apparently expensive and they run out of soar for you to buy. Maybe bring your own. Now we don't want any white powder substace in a zip lock baggie so get the smallest box you can & don't open it til you get on the ship

Generally when you do a cruise tour the cruise line stores your extra luggage for the duration of the tour. So while you may take only one piece of luggage on the tour, you may take as much as you want on the cruise.

That's what I thought, too!

You really have to give the name of your cruiseline, though, some have them, some don't. We cruised on Celebrity Infinity and they do not have self serve laundry, but we sent a few items out for washing, mostly jeans. It was well worth not having to do laundry on a vacation! We spend extra time in Vancouver afterward and made it a point to find a hotel with laundry. There were 4 of us, so packing for the cruise and land portion was a challenge!

We have made the Alaska + Land Tour Cruise twice (Holland America & Princess). Both ships had laundry facilities. It costs about $2 for washer & $2 for Dryer (quarters only..so bring your own). They also had irons & ironing boards. Matter of fact, on all the ships that I have cruised, they have had washers & dryers. Our trips were AWESOME! Have Fun!

Carnival and Princess both have self serve laundry. If you don't bring your own soap (the little Wisk cubes work great), or if the machine in the laundry room runs out, you can go to the Purser's desk and they will give you some for free.
