Canaveral Car rental

Does anyone know where the car rental places are at the port. We were considering renting a car for the day, but unsure how we would get one. Are they within walking distance of the port to pick up? Hope someone can help.:confused:

Budget is about 1/4 mile south of the port and Avis is about 2 miles down the street from them. They are both small offices so if you are wanting a car after a cruise, be sure to reserve one ahead of time otherwise they might not have what you need/want. I've been told they have shuttles at the port that will pick you up and take you to their office.

Reserve your car before you cruise. Once you have your luggage, call the local Budget office for pick-up at your terminal. Keep in mind, other cruisers will be returning cars the morning you are picking up your car! When we did this (return) it was extremely busy and confusing in the lot and inside at the desk. Watch what they do for paperwork too. Budget was the cheapest for a full size car when we were at Port Canaveral. The office is not far from the Radisson on A1A @ Cocoa Beach.

Anyone know what the best rental car plce is that you can rent from Sanford airport and port canaveral> We'll need a car for the week before our cruise and for 2 days afterward.
