I have TWO cruises booked!

Traveling solo has its good points.  I find now if I go away I tell folks I am visiting friends.  I will tell them the truth if going overseas though.  Jealousy can really hurt and sometimes folks need to understand we budget which means we don't eat out a lot, get hair done, etc etc.

 

Funny I am one of the few cruisers who doesn't drink or gamble but I do cruise.  toodles

With this second cruise I booked, we invited another couple to go along.  When discussing this with my DH, I was pretty adamant that I wanted no discussion on changing the itinerary or dates, I wanted to do what I wanted to do!  LOL.  It's hard to ask someone to spend a significant amount of money and not let them have an input, right?  Not only did we ask, but we also needed a decision in less than 24 hours because the Fascination only has a limited number of balconies.  I must say, our friends are the BEST!  No change in plans were suggested and we were booked within 12 hours!  Amazing.

You are lucky then and best of luck.  The person I had issues with also did the same with a driving trip for Maine. I merely said I have something planned and would she join me since hubby likes to stay home.  NOPE we needed to have a major chat and the person would not stay in a nice hotel saying Motel 6 was fine.  hmmm that person earlier in the year spend 5k for cruise with other friends. oh well I don't rate I guess.  

I think that person just  uses people as human "coupons" to help save money.    Needless to say I have yet to travel with that person.  

 

Travel with others can be good or it can be bad.  I will continue to travel alone but joining roll calls on CC will help

My wife would think I was crazy if I only had 3 cruises booked.  I am definitely addicted to cruising.
