beautifullady Posted April 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2019 Afternoon all. Start off fee for onboard credit is $300 hundred with credit/debit. Is that the same wth cash? I've sailed before but its been awhile so sorry ahead of time if its a dumb question.
Jembeccatoo Posted April 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2019 That depends on how you received the credit. It may be used for excursions, purchases onboard. Any unused credit may not be refundable depending on how it was received.

That is what I believe you meant! Unfortunately, DH and I always use credit card, so I don't know your answer (IF that is what you meant to ask). I'm sure others could reply to my interpretation of your question. Edited April 4, 2019 by ggTexasGal correction

JesseB Posted April 4, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2019 Not sure as I have always used a credit card and or had a good bit of on board credit from redeeming points from the ncl credit card.
ggTexasGal Posted April 4, 2019 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2019 I found this thread from December 2018. Hopefully, it will be helpful to you! https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2617712-cash-deposit-for-onboard-spending/?tab=comments#comment-56444426 I believe the last post (# 21, maybe) on the thread answers your question! Rare KeithJenner Posted April 4, 2019 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2019 (edited) My understanding ( from comments on this board, not personal experience) is that there is not an enforced minimum. As long as you have enough to cover your commitments (ie DSC) then you should be fine. Edited April 4, 2019 by KeithJenner
