Which Royal ship (or class) is most similar to Celebrity Equinox in size and layout?

Royal has nothing near Equinox's GT range. The Quantum class ships were built at the same place, so have similarities, but are much larger in enclosed volume and passenger count. Royal's Radiance class ships are much smaller in enclosed volume and passenger count.

I love Radiance and Vision class, not a fan of the promenade on Navigator and Independence.
