Best trip through the canal in October, 2006

I am planning to travel through the canal on a repositioning cruise in October 2006. What is the best cruise and ship? Thanks!!!

My wife and I will be on the Volendam sailing Sept 27th from Vancouver BC to Ft Lauderdale.

 

Itinerary is good, ship has good reviews. Price is reasonable ------------

We're going on the Coral Princess this May. Fly to Ft Lauderdale and cruise 19 days to Vancouver. Can hardly wait.

We have free internet so will be posting during our trip.

I am also on the same sailing as KPalmer and I highly recommend the Coral Princess. After they complete their Alaska run they will then go back and do a west to east repo through the Canal. This will be our second trip on the Coral and highly recommend that size of ship(1950 passengers.

We're on the Zuiderdam sailing on 30 September from Vancouver BC to Fort Lauderdale - 20 nights on board. Can't wait! :)

We did transcanal Oct. 3 2004 San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale. It was cool (light sweater needed) until we reached Cabo. Then it started to warm up. From Cabo to canal were very nice, lay out by the pool, shorts and tank top days. The day we crossed through the canal was too hot. The sun was just too strong to hang out by the pool. Aruba was another very hot day. Once we left Aruba the final two days were back to nice summer weather.
