Scuba Diving in the Greek Isles?

We will be on the Celebrity Reflection cruise from Barcelona Sept 30.

 

We are thinking of trying to scuba in two of these three ports (where it seems that there are fewer alternative shore excursions);

 

Mykonos

Santorini

Rhodes

 

 

Anyone have any experience diving in these ports? Looking for any advice in terms of operators/transportation/scheduling. It doesn't look like there are many local operators who tailor their dive days to accommodate cruise ship passengers.

We last visited Mykonos and Santorini via cruise ship four years ago and the providers we used I can heartily recommend.

In Mykonos it's GoDive Mykonos. You can read about them on Tripadvisor but they were superb. Water is crystal clear. It's not French Polynesia but lots of interesting sealife. On Santorini we used Aegean Dive Center. They were wonderful people but we did not see a whole lot. Some schools of fish and an octopus or two. You can read about each on Tripadvisor. If by chance you've not been to Santorini before there is so much to see on land that you might consider staying above water surface. We've been three times before and that's what we'd do next time. Hiking Fira-Oia trail is not to be missed.
