Vienna U-Bahn from port to city center

The U-Bahn stop is about 15 to 20 minute walk from the ship depending on where you dock.  Last year the when we were on the Viking Aegir we had the longest walk possible.  If you are lucky enough to have a docking space close to the bridge, it can be a short walk.  You will have to walk up a flight of stairs or take the bicycle ramp with no stairs.

I posted a map from the dock to the U-Bahn on this thread. If the link doesn't go directly to the relevant post, I think it's post #102 at the top of page 5. It's an easy walk.

First ti,e we did the U-Bahn was with  Viking to the market where we tasted a selectionof foods from various stalls. We then were free to sightsee and made our own way back.

 

U-Bahn is easy to use with ticket selling machines in English. Our mooring has been close to the bridge , thus only a short walk from the U-Bahn station
