Change in Itinerary Insignia July 28th

On our 14 day Insignia cruise departing July 28th, I noticed that Monday August 5th has been changed from Antigua to St. Kitts.  9:00 A.M.- 6:00 P.M.

There was a post somewhere about Antigua being tired of cruise ships and closing their ports to them.

I myself would prefer Antigua to St. Kitts (been there twice and once was more than enough) but if they are banning cruise ships, there's not much to be said!

I would also prefer Antigua to St. Kitts. We spent a couple years down in the Caribbean on our own sailboat. No one spent time in St. Kitts.

On the bright side, hopefully O still offers as an excursion there a lovely large catamaran ride from St. Kitts to Nevis, permitting you to walk on the ground where Hamilton walked plus lunch and some nice beach time at beautiful Nevis.  We took that excursion in February 2018 from Riviera.

Been to Antigua many times.  This year I noticed a huge number of guys hanging on the streets. Lots of unemployment. There has been some recent problems in Antigua.  A cruise passenger was stabbed in town on the main street.  Going to St. Kitts is nice.

Oceania's answer for this change is "due to a birthing issue" ! Put your own spin on that.

Yeah, I guess that would put a whole new spin on that, wouldn't it?  lol
