Which port? Assuming Olden, but could be another port! For busses there a more options from Olden - do you just want to have sightseeing tour to do you plan to stay for a longer period of time at The Glacier? hallasm Posted April 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2019 There will be continuous service throughout the day when the cruise ship is in port. The entire trip will take a maximum of three and a half hours - More info You should also consider a visit to Loen Skylift - shuttle bus from the pier. Should be time for both trips during the day. krillsister Posted April 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Isn't there a public bus that is cheaper?
kitkat343 Posted April 24, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2019 In the past, there has been a public bus which was close to the port. We didn't use this option since we had two small children and needed the flexibility of the more frequent (and more expensive) buses on Olden adventures, so I cannot give you any direct info. Olden adventures did a great job but if you don't have kids the public bus might be a great option (there are people on these forums who have been very happy with it). The people at the Norwegian Tourism Bureau https://www.visitnorway.com are extremely responsive, and can give you an updated schedule for the public bus and the exact current location. The public shuttle runs twice or three times when the ship is in port. oldenadventure.no has shuttles running both to Briksdal glacier and to the new Loen skylift. Informative homepage with prices and booking options. Example: Shuttle to Briksdal glacier is 45 min. each way on the road, 2 hours to walk to the glacier( and back, of course).
