name change on reservation

i am planning a cruise for next january with my daughter and a couple of her friends. I am concerned that one of them may change her mind about going.

how difficult is it to add another person in after someone decides not to go and you already have the reservation?

She has to make up her mind well before the final payment is due. If she doesn't, there can be a rather large change fee involved. Final payment is usually 75 days before departure.

Depends on actual cruiseline, but most will let you make a name change up to a week or so before sailing for a charge of about $50.

On RCI and Carnival (maybe more) you can change up to a couple of days before the cruise. I believe, as Cheryl said, that there is a small fee for that change. We had friends who did this last cruise.

Different cruise lines have different policies.

 

Carnival - If you make a name change prior to final payment, there's no charge. However, if you make the change after final payment has been made, there will be a $50 fee.
