Vanilla in Cozumel?

I was reading a thread on Vanilla  in Cozumel some time back and lost track of it.  Looking for a couple bottles of extract but would really love to find the beans themselves. Any suggestions? We are in Cozumel and Costa May both next week. Thanks!

Hit either MegaStore or Chedurai markets in Cozumel and look for 100% pure vanilla.  They may have beans there too.  Also Cinco Soles downtown and at the Puerta Maya Pier will carry vanilla.

 

You'll find vanilla at the ports duty free stores too.  But better buy elsewhere.

 

Stay away from anything not labelled 100% pure vanilla.

Mega and chedurai are hit or miss.we go there first sometimes they have some sometimes they get wiped out fast.los Cinco sold has good vanilla.we are on carnival this go around so more than likely we will stock up at Los Cinco sol.my wife gets 3-4 big bottles every trip.she makes a lot of cakes to give away.

Look for coumarin free on label and no mention of Tonka beans.  I would like to find nice fresh beans to make my own, it is delicious and then you know what’s in there.
