Straws provided on Liberty of the Seas

Wow. This thread jumped the shark. 

 

Plastic straws are particularly bad on cruise ships because they are light and blow off the deck into the oceans Where they kill birds and marine life.  I would be interested in someone who can cite a study that straws are not harmful when they end up In The ocean.   I’ll wait.

I suggested earlier that straws should be made from corn products.  They would still be as durable as a plastic straw during use, yet biodegradable after use. Please feel free to not use plastic straws, and for doing your part.  However, you don’t get to make that decision for others.
